I enjoyed these as swaddling blankets since they were warm yet light. Now that my son has outgrown swaddling I continue to use them as changing pad covers, light blankets, mats to lay him on etc. I always have one in the car and one in the diaper bag since I never know when/how it wil come in handy. Great shower gift and I like these because they were gender neutral.

I never used these to swaddle my son as he hated being swaddled but i did use them ALOT. They were a great blanket to put on him in the infant car seat, great to cover the car seat when it was raining or sunny... I also used them in the stroller alot to block the sun. I had clothes pin to clip to visor. They were thick enough to block sun but airy enough to allow air in and out. They did look a bit 'worn' after being washed once but they still worked just as good and mine got washed alot. They also make great burp clothes and spit up wipes! I had a whole bunch and they were spread around my house so they were handy when i needed one. Must have for a new baby not just for swaddling!

I loved the designs on these blankets but was never able to get a good swaddle with them. I also found that they looked worn after just one wash.

My son outgrew his receiving blankets in 2 weeks, but I still carry one in my diaper bag and leave a few at my parents house now that he is 4 months. They are thick and sturdy, so they can be used for diaper changing on the bed or floor, containing a blown out diaper, or covering the car seat when there is rain or wind or sun. They aren't too big or too small to be used in those cases.

These receiving blankets are very soft and durable. We have a few and keep them wherever the baby may be....in the car, the stroller, and in the bedrooms. Unfortunately they are too small to swaddle past 1-2 months. In a pinch I use them to cover the boppy while I'm washing the cover. They have lasted through 2 babies and have not shown any signs of wearing.

You can never have enough recieving blankets! I found this out the first month after bringing baby home from the hospital. These blankets are soft, a great size, and perfect for layering in the bassinet or crib. I layered three or four of these blankets in my daughters bassinet so when she spit up in the middle of the night all I had to do it take the top blanket off and her bassinet was ready to go! These blankets are not too bulky.

I got a ton of these at my baby shower and really liked that they were lightweight enough that baby could be swaddled to be comfortable but wouldn't get too hot. I wish they were made a little bigger though because some babie like to be swaddled for a while and they outgrow these blankets.

I don't specifically have this color, but I have two sets in other colors and I love to have these for just about anything. Great for changing diapers on if the need arises, a good cover up, etc. They wash up really well also.

I have a similar print that I used for my son, and also used these for my daughter. They are nice for swaddling before moving baby into a sleep sack. They wash nicely and keep their shape.

Nice blankets, just would have liked then to be a bit longer. My daughter could only be swaddled in these for a month then after that she was too long.

These are nice blankets. We used mainly for covering her legs in the carrier in restaurants, if we were in the sun, etc., as baby was never a fan of swaddling. They have all kept their colors nicely and have resisted pilling.

These are nice and light but don't work very good for swaddling. I got them from the baby shower and wouldn't buy them myself because of the price, a bit too high.

I loved these lightweight blankets for in the summer or using around the kids head a prop, but I found them to be too small for a good swaddle! They last really well though and hold up great even through many washes!

I have 8 of these blankets, and they are amazing. They're light so your baby doesn't get overheated, and they come in all types of designs and colors. I say they're worth the money. I recommend these blankets.

For my shower I received several packs of Carter's Receiving Blankets. After having my child they went through wash after wash, stain after stain and still came out of the dryer beautifully. I love Carter's products; these receiving blankets are exceptional!
