Looks great and works perfect. I really like the ability to remote control the camera pan and zoom. It also has a great intercom feature. The color looks great and the night vision is even better. My favorite feature though is the portable battery pack you can attach to the camera so you can use it anywhere. My little one doesn't just nap in his room so this feature is very helpful. I also have a lot of wireless tech. running in the house and none of them interfere with the reception on the monitor. I would definitely recommend this product.
We absolutely love this monitor! It gives us peace of mind, especially in the beginning when struck with the spontaneous desire to check in on the baby. My son is a light sleeper and this allows us to feel like we are always with him. As he is getting older, the talk back feature is becoming increasing useful!! We registered for a cheaper monitor but received this one and are so happy that we did.
Love this monitor! This is our second Summer Infant video monitor purchase, the other being 2 years old and for a different room. We bought this one when we moved our toddler from the nursery to her new room. I love that I can pan the room up down, and side to side as well as zoom. I also love the talk back feature that allows me to speak into the child's room without having to open the door. Perfect for those busy little ones who might not stay in bed like they are supposed to! Decent range, touch screen, adjustable volume, night vision... It is pricy but well worth the investment for a family that will truly use it.
When purchasing our original monitor I didn't see the need for a video version over just audio, and for the first few months of my baby's life it was perfectly adequate. As he got older I realized we needed the video version to decipher whether he was standing up mumbling or just talking in his sleep.
After much research I narrowed our options down to this and the Motorola and ultimately purchased this one. It's been great! It picks up way more sound than the digital audio one did, the range has been awesome (I can go out into the yard and still watch him) and the video quality is better than most of the others out there that I've seen - you're not going to get crystal clear TV images from any of them.
The touch screen is accurate and not too sensitive, the ability to pan has been very useful, the intercom works great for us to talk to him or even each other when one of us is in the nursery, and the battery has surprising life for a video monitor. Some people complain about it but I like that the monitor goes to sleep in a set amount of time but you can press the Video On button whenever you want to see.
I'd highly recommend this monitor and am looking forward to adding a second camera one day!
