I predominately nurse and so i only need bottles when using pumped milk. She has never had an issue with going from breast to bottle with these. I do wish they were a little less chunky though. I feel like it makes it hard to get out the last ounce or so.
These bottles are great. I had issues for a few months when i switched to stage 2 nipple but contacted their customer service (Who were FANTASTIC!) in which the nipple sucked in until my son stopped sucking, then the air would release and it would go back to normal. The valve wasn't working but they said to squeeze the valve on the inside to 'open' it up. After washing sometimes the rubber pieces dry together. After I did that, it worked fantastic! It's take no more then 1 second to do it before you screw the top on. My son loved them and the size was great. We did breast feeding and bottles for a little while and he did great going back and forth. These bottles also don't have a lot of small parts... Very simple, bottle, nipple ring, nipple... No small pieces or crevices to get into to. And mouth was wide enough so you didn't need a bottle brush, could easily be cleaned by hand.
These bottles are great! I wasn't able to breastfeed as I had hoped but my baby still took right to them. They have different nipples that grow with baby. They're soooo easy to clean, and fit great in the diaper bag. And the weird shape make it easy for baby to hold. They may be pricer, but with my 9 month old, we've never had to replace them for leaks or anything and we've had all ours since day one. Definatley worth the extra money.
These are best to use when transitioning from breast feeding to bottle feeding. They also are a slow-flow which is great!
I registered for these because I liked the look of them. Glad I did. My son loved them. They were also chunky so he could easily hang on to them. He was holding his bottles at 3 months!! :) Love the small 5 oz ones but quickly out grew them when he started drinking bigger bottles. I gave the bottles a 4 because sometimes you have to squeeze the valve to open it up, otherwise when they drink the nipple sucks in until they release so air can escape but I just got in habit of squeezing it prior to closing up bottle. That wasn't a big deal for me.
I bought these while pregnant, planning on breast feeding, but after not being able to, I was so happy that my daughter still took to them! These bottles are amazing! They're so durable, easy to clean and hardly take up room in the diaper bag because of the unique shape! They're also easy for baby to hold. I love them and so does my daughter!
When I had to go back to work, theses bottles were a lifesaver. Baby did not like many other bottles, but due to the natural breast-like shape of these, she latched on right away. This made the transition from exclusive nursing to pumping/feeding much easier on all of us!
I loved these bottles! We first started out trying to breast feed and after numerous issues ended up formula feeding. After trying the Playtex Ventair recommended by our Pediatrician which leaked, I saw these new bottles in a Babies-R-Us ad and did some research. I decided to take a chance since they were well received in England and Europe and fell in love with them. I bought both the 5 oz. and 9 oz. sizes and even bought the formula containers that fit inside which were nice for traveling. I read so many mixed reviews about the Dr. Browns regarding how they were good for reflux but horrible to clean, and since I didn't want to spend what time I had cleaning bottles, I took a chance on these. My daughter had a silent reflux problem and these seemed to help and I loved how easy they were to clean. I loved the bottles so much we've now progressed through the various stages of the sippy cups! Some people have problems with leaking, all I can say is make sure that the nipple is properly seated in the ring and you shouldn't have any problems.
