California Baby No Fragrance Sunscreen Lotion SPF30

I love this line, but as others have mentioned, it is SO thick, and very difficult to spread on a squirming baby. It does work, but it also takes a lot of work just to make sure you've covered all expose body parts. It doesn't smell, which is nice, and has minimal chemicals which is always a win. However, I use a different brand of sunscreen after attempting to use this several times - there really are no easy ways to spread this thick junk on!

My little guy has just started learning that if he pushes or pulls hard enough, doors move. These have been a life saver it protecting the little digits. We had ones that just slide on the door and we had to manually remove them each time we wanted to shut the door until we found these. I love that the lock folds down when we want to close the door, makes it quicker and is one less loose piece for my son to find and chew on!

Maybe I babyproofed my house a little early (I put these on when he was still in-womb) but now that he's walking and curious, he's learned that if he bites on them hard enough, they start to come off of the table. Not sure if there is a life expectancy of the sticky on the back, but we've taken these off as my son pretty much showed us he's more concerned with chewing on these than having them protect him from pointy corners.

Summer Infant Sure and Secure Extra Tall Walk-Thru Gate

We have this gate installed at the bottom of our stairs. my hubby is 6'4 and I am 5'9 so the "tall" part really speaks to us and makes things easier when we have a kid in our arms :) Sometimes the latch will stick or be a little trickier to maneuver, but overall, my son pulls on this and tries very hard to open it and it hasn't budged yet. We did not need to utilize the extender that compliments this gate but thought it was a nice option if we needed that!

We used these a bit in our Altima, but eventually took them out as they really didn't do much to block the sun coming in the window. Often when I was putting him in his seat and bent down, my purse would catch the shade and would bend it, knock off the suction cup, etc. Eventually, we removed these once we found out they could be a danger in a crash and went with the shades that stick right on to the window with no suction cups.

Maybe it's true, people see this sign and don't care, but I personally feel better having it displayed in our windshield in hopes those around me pay a bit more attention to what they are doing. The suction cups haven't failed me in 10 months yet!

If you are like me, as a first time mom you over-prepare and over-buy everything in sight. I refused to listen to my friends when they told me I did not need this kit, and that the hospital would provide me with a lot of what was in here. Honestly, the brush is the best part of this kit. The clippers are kept as an extra pair and the aspirator is just ok, we have much better success with the nosefrida (our hospital also sent us home with some bulbs that I thought worked even better than this) Overall low quality, especially for having the Red Cross label on them!

My son doesn't have sensitive skin, but after realizing all of the chemicals in traditional baby products, I knew we needed to switch to something better off for him. I have found California Baby to have a great line of products most similar to the chemical-laden ones we are used to. As others mentioned it lathers well and washes off just as well. It is expensive, but worth the extra effort to give my son the best, purest first few years as possible!

My son loves his turtle and staring at the ceiling watching the constellations. He definitely doesn't do well in total darkness so this, partnered with a plug in soft glow nite-light, work perfectly when he falls asleep at night!

I love our monitor, it saved me a lot of sleepless nights when we first put him in his own bedroom after we were done co-sleeping. Works wonderfully, HOWEVER, one time I did not have the monitor switched on in his room and turned my video portion on, I was horrified to see another baby! It was straight out of a scary movie, I am somewhat bothered by the fact that others nearby could be watching my baby sleep. That being said, we still use this daily, I wouldn't have it any other way!
